Truly listening to people in private consultation
to what is on their heart, and their needs
is one characteristic of Elisa that is often
commented upon by clients and friends. They
know when they are talking Elisa is actively
listening. When it's her turn to speak people
are encouraged, inspired and motivated to
move on, step up, and get going.
Elisa
is personable, warm and caring; her honesty
and vulnerability put people at ease in
sharing their challenges in life. The result
is creative and workable solutions to those
challenges (managing time, chaos, papers
piling up).
The
wealth of Elisa’s education, life
experiences and 10 years of professional
organizing experience has been bundled up
to help others reach their goals and find
a simpler life. Her background which includes
teaching high school, office manager, business
owner, son with ADHD and husband with ADD,
plus ocean sailing experience, brings her
uniqueness and talents to her clients and
audiences.
The History of How2
At
the start of her business, nearing the end
of a virus that kept Elisa literally in
bed or on the couch for two years, Elisa
was praying about what direction to take
with her life when she got well. Elisa felt
strongly impressed she was to help people
get organized. That sounded like fun but
she had never heard of anyone doing anything
like that for a business. Then she learned
about NAPO, the National Association of
Professional Organizers. Writing a book
was an initial interest to her but after
seeing all the organizing books on the cluttered
floors of clients she decided to teach in
a more step-by-step approach. Elisa made
a DVD on Having More Fun in Your Kitchen
that has helped countless people transform
a chaotic and cluttered kitchen into a peaceful
efficient place in the heart of the home.
